Cohesity, an America-based information technology firm, has recently announced that the company has significantly expanded across the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. The firm has extended its capabilities of innovative data management in Hong Kong, Taiwan and India.
Apparently, Cohesity has hired various experienced people from the industry who will be leading those markets as well as has invested in marketing, engineering and sales. It has also hired established technology channels and leaders tasked with pan-APJ responsibilities.
Cohesity helps to simplify a firm’s operation and helps in managing, extracting value from and backing up the data, while the new leaders shall play a major role in helping the partners and customers to opt for a modern approach to data management that is software-defined.
According to reliable sources, Marcus Loh has been hired as a chief technology officer (CTO) by Cohesity while Les Mansour has been hired as the head of channels for APJ. Sunil Brid has also been appointed as the head of India by the company along with Linda Hui, who will be leading the business in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Reportedly, the announcement was followed by the appointments of Steve Coad, who will be supervising the expanding business in New Zealand and Australia and Sheena Chin as the head of the ASEAN business of Cohesity.
A steadily rising demand for data management solutions with the increasing expansion has continued to soar in Asia Pacific and across the world. Cohesity’s booking software has reported an increase of over 100 percent in the Asia Pacific region for the recent quarter (Q2 FY 20) of the company with a similar period of time in the previous year (Q2 FY 19).
Citing sources familiar with the matter, the number of customers who have deployed Cohesity had risen by around 250% close to the same period. The number of actively booking partners had grown by 190% across the region.
