HiTHIUM, a prominent manufacturer of stationary energy storage solutions for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial applications, has reportedly joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). Through the move, the firm has taken a significant stride towards bolstering sustainable development.

By embracing the UNGC and endorsing its ten core principles encompassing human rights, labor standards, environmental stewardship, and anti-corruption measures, HiTHIUM underscores its unwavering commitment to ethical and responsible business practices.

For the record, The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) was introduced in 2000 and has burgeoned into the world's most extensive corporate sustainability initiative. Boasting a membership of over 20,000 corporations and stakeholders hailing from nearly 170 countries, the UNGC serves as a testament to the collective commitment towards fostering ethical, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious business practices.

Meanwhile, HiTHIUM was established in 2019 and has been at the forefront of advancing the global energy transition towards greener alternatives. This recent decision to join the UNGC reflects not only the company's dedication to upholding social responsibilities and safeguarding the environment but also marks a pivotal moment in its quest for international expansion.

Earlier this year, the company inaugurated its Sustainable Development Center, a testament to its proactive stance in advocating for green development. The launch of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainable development project in February further accentuates HiTHIUM's commitment to positive outcomes in areas such as product recycling, climate change mitigation, community enrichment, environmental preservation, ethical conduct, and employee welfare.

Xiamen headquartered HiTHIUM's accomplishments in the realm of sustainable energy solutions are augmented by its innovative prowess. With an array of four dedicated R&D centers along with technologically advanced production facilities, the company has not only enhanced the safety features of its lithium-ion batteries but has also amplified their efficiency and lifecycle. Its specialization in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) positions it as a trailblazer, delivering pioneering advancements in energy storage to its partners and clientele.

As per the industry expert, there will be escalating demand for sustainable energy solutions in the coming years. Leveraging this opportunity, it is reported that HiTHIUM is ambitiously expanding its production capacity from 45 GWh to an impressive 70 GWh by the culmination of 2023.
