With the industries evolving in the wake of robust digitalization, the Singapore University of Technology and Design, SUTD and Thales have reportedly announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding. Apparently, this alliance is expected to make way for extensive collaboration on the research and development of innovative solutions for important systems design.

It has been claimed that this unison is reflective of Thales’ strong commitment to technology and research. Over the year, the organization has showcased the commitment through numerous engagements with partners and customers in customer-centric innovation, prototyping, and testing of new and innovative concepts across vivid sectors.

Through this partnership, Thales would bolster its capabilities in the digitalization and development of best in class local solutions for fundamental topics including robotics, drone, and cybersecurity while, SUTD is likely to undertake research and find solutions for the aviation challenges faced.

Kevin Chow, the Country Director and CEO of Thales, Singapore, while commenting on the matter stated that the company and management is extremely delighted to have been working with SUTD on different topics including air mobility and cybersecurity to create smarter solutions which can address Singapore’s digital ambitions.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Partnership, Innovation and Enterprise at SUTD, Mr. Lim King Boon cited that Thales with its commitment to technology and research is a vital industry partner for SUTD.
