Nextracker Inc., a leading solar software solution and tracking provider, has signed a multi-year agreement with Strata Clean Energy company. Under the terms of this volume commitment agreement, the firms will work on the supply of 810 megawatts of trackers for large-scale integrated solar projects across Texas, Virginia, and Arizona. The tools required for this will be sourced from U.S. factories, in line with Nextracker’s ambition to strengthen ties with U.S. suppliers.
According to Strata Clean Energy CEO Markus Wilhelm, Nextracker’s next-gen solar tracking system enables an innovative light-on-land approach that maximizes energy performance and minimizes grading with the incorporation of clean steel manufactured in the U.S. Wilhelm added that the company continues to grow with a mission to highlight low-cost solar power, with the support of partners like Nextracker.
Founder and CEO of Nextracker, Dan Shugar, has commented that the company is glad to collaborate with Strata Clean Energy. Strata’s integrated model of operations, EPC, and storage and solar development brings value for utility and landowners, he added. He has also stated that the company’s supply chain in the U.S. is well position to deliver high performance solar plants.
